Basseterre, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Energy and Utilities recognized two persons for their responsible water usage and account management in an initiative spearheaded by the St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) in commemoration of World Water Day 2026.
In a brief ceremony held at the TDC Home and Building Depot at the C.A. Paul Southwell Industrial Site, Minister of Public Infrastructure, Energy and Utilities, the Hon. Konris Maynard awarded two lucky customers with their prizes. Mr. Henry Matthew received a pump and Ms. Cheryldene Roberts received a gas tankless water heater, both useful household items.
The ceremony highlights the importance of responsible consumption and timely payments to departmental and ministerial initiatives aimed at improving water service reliability on the island.
The selection process was based on a combination of factors, including water consumption and maintaining a zero balance on their water bills.
The WSD congratulates the winners and expresses sincere gratitude to all customers for their continued efforts in preserving our precious resource.
