Energy Unit Observes CARICOM Energy Month with Annual Fair

The Energy Unit continues its month of activities as it commemorates CARICOM Energy Month this November. On Friday, November 15, the Unit hosted its annual Energy Fair in Independence Square. The event brought together various stakeholder groups in the energy sector.

Several public and private stakeholder groups participated in the fair, including
the Solid Waste Management Corporation, the Bureau of Standards, TDC, and Courts, representatives from the National Bank Group of Companies, and more.

The Energy Unit seized the opportunity to showcase its work. Energy Officer Denasio Frank and Administrative Assistant Andrezj Warner provided details about the Unit’s Mascot Design competition and the SolarCity Simulator.

Andrezj Warner explained that the SolarCity Simulator allows residents to calculate the energy they could harness from rooftops in St. Kitts based on inputs that users can alter to reflect their specific circumstances.

The 2024 Energy Fair is one of several activities organized by the Energy Unit to commemorate CARICOM Energy Month and promote energy conservation and efficiency. The theme of CARICOM Energy Month is “Invest in Sustainable Energy: Accelerate the Transition.
