Basseterre, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – Dr. Bertill Browne, Director of the Energy Unit in the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Energy, and Utilities, revealed on Tuesday, that the 2026 iteration of the Unit’s Career Day will begin on March 10 at the Jessups Community Center in Nevis.

The annual event sensitizes local secondary and tertiary school students to careers in the energy sector by facilitating their interactions with energy professionals over a three-day period.
The event has been consistently supported by both education and energy professionals since its inception in 2023, with an average turnout of 50 students and 4 energy sector professionals each year.
Initially introduced as a one-day event in one location, it was extended to three days and two locations in 2025, to accommodate differentiated approaches to interactions with secondary and tertiary school students in St. Kitts and to localize the interactions with students and resident energy professionals on Nevis.
The three-day model will continue this year with the final two days of the event to be hosted in St. Kitts on March 11 and 12. The venue and the official list of presenters are expected to be finalized once meetings with this year’s planning committee conclude. Public Infrastructure News will share additional details as they unfold.
