Basseterre, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – Following the recent announcement of a month of activities to mark World Water Day 2026, the St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) has officially released its calendar of events for the upcoming observance.
The department invites the general public to participate in the following activities:
1. SocaCize

- Location: National Heroes Park, Conaree
- Date: March 5, 2026
- Time: 4:30 p.m.
2. Women’s ‘Fix the Drip’ Workshop
The workshop aims to teach women to fix water-related issues around the house, in keeping with this year’s theme of Water and Gender.

- Location: Water Services Department Office at Needsmust
- Date: March 16, 2026
- Time: 5:00 p.m.
- Interested persons are asked to call (869) 467-1442 to register.
3. Information Refresh Drive
This activity aims to make it easy for customers to update their addresses and other relevant data.
- Location: Independence Square
- Date: March, 20, 2026
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
4. Health Walk
- Route: WSD office to Frigate Bay Lawn through the Basseterre Valley Aquifer
- Date: March 26, 2026
- Time: 4:30 p.m.
5. Customer Appreciation Day
- Location: WSD office
- Date: March 27, 2026
- Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
In addition to these events, the department is introducing two wellness-focused initiatives throught the month:
- Water Wednesdays – encouraging residents to drink more water every Wednesday.
- Munch-a-Fruit Mondays – promoting increased fruit consumption every Monday.
The WSD looks forward to strong community participation as it continues to promote water conservation, healthy lifestyles and customer engagement during the month.
